Private Joseph Kay

This poetic short is a family focused project featuring contributions from four generations. The film is made by Matt Kay and features a poem by his mother, Jackie Kay. The poem is about Jackie’s grandfather and his involvement in the Battle of the Somme.

Commissioned by 14 - 18 NOW for the centurion of the Battle of the Somme Private Joseph Kay has screened in film festivals and memorial events across the UK.
